What it is

Efficiently managing deal targeting is critical for traders, especially when campaigns span multiple publishers and marketplace settings. This Kokai update simplifies the experience by bringing deal and marketplace controls into a single, streamlined view, so you can understand your setup and make quick adjustments.

What’s new

Advertisers typically reach audiences in one of two ways:

  • A marketplace-led strategy, such as targeting the Sellers and Publishers 500+ for broad, high-quality scale
  • A publisher-led strategy, focusing on individual publishers and curating deals for specific environments

This update supports both approaches by centralizing inventory decisions within one redesigned Forward (FWD) tile. With this new experience, you can:

  • View all inventory settings in one place: See targeted deals and marketplace selections together within a single tile view.
  • Apply deals faster: Instantly add one or multiple deals to your ad group directly from the Forward (FWD) tile.
  • Control marketplace targeting with a toggle: Turn the Sellers and Publishers 500+ on or off without navigating across other tiles.

FYI

You can bulk edit content signals, such as genre, and quality settings, such as TV Quality Index (TVQI) and ad load, directly from your campaign overview page. Simply select the ad groups you’d like to edit.

How to get access

This feature is currently in closed beta. To get started, reach out to your representative at The Trade Desk and then take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Forward (FWD) tile.
  2. Use the landing page to review targeted deals or adjust marketplace settings.
  3. Explore the new filters and deal selection flows to further refine your inventory strategy.
