The Trade Desk and DirecTV unite on new TV OS

The Trade Desk has teamed up with DirecTV to launch a customized version of Ventura, the connected television operating system that the adtech firm launched last November. 

The collaboration, announced Wednesday, marries the consumer-facing user interface and content aggregation of DirecTV with the adtech infrastructure of Ventura, according to Matthew Henick, Senior Vice President at The Trade Desk.
