The Trade Desk Named to the FORTUNE Future 50 List

Company makes list for the first time, recognized as a top company for long-term growth

NEW YORK – December 2, 2021 – Global advertising technology leader, The Trade Desk (NASDAQ: TTD), was today named to the FORTUNE Future 50 list. This is the first time the company has been included on the annual ranking that recognizes innovative companies with the strongest long-term growth. The ranking is based on a methodology developed by FORTUNE and management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

To select the 2021 Future 50, FORTUNE and BCG evaluated more than 1,000 publicly traded companies. Thirty percent of a company’s score is based on market potential in terms of expected future growth. The other seventy percent of the ranking is based a company’s ability to execute on that potential, with a focus on four key categories – strategy, technology investments, people, and structure. As an advertising technology company, The Trade Desk has invested heavily in recent years in key growth areas, such as Connected TV, cross-channel measurement, data optimization and identity in order to provide premium value to clients and drive future growth.

“When we founded The Trade Desk, we set our sights on building a company that would help advertisers fuel a thriving open internet -- a marketplace place of diverse ideas, content and commerce. Being named to the FORTUNE Future 50 list is a testament to our progress toward that vision,” said Jeff Green, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, The Trade Desk. “More than anything, it reflects the commitment and talent of our employees. We are a company of incredibly accomplished and creative professionals, and we could not be more proud of this recognition.”

This year The Trade Desk also debuted on FORTUNE’s list of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies. And for the fifth consecutive year, The Trade Desk was named to FORTUNE and Great Place to Work’s 100 Best Medium Workplaces.
